Beginning at GIS and throughout 2019, BASF is celebrating plant health innovation that has shaped a generation of turf professionals—from our Intrinsic® brand fungicides that helped deliver championship conditions for 10 years strong, to the unveiling of our next generation of groundbreaking science that will set the stage for the next decade. No better way to reflect on our accomplishments and kick-off an amazing year than to share with our friends at GIS 2019!

 

The BASF GENERATION TURF BOOTH gave customers a first-hand look into how BASF plans to change the plant health game—again. The booth featured one-of-a-kind giveaways, an Inside the Science Virtual Reality experience, live education from industry professionals and a BASF punching machine that challenged visitors see how their power matched up to powerful BASF solutions.

Exploring New Fungicide Technologies

Dr. Rick Latin, Purdue University, Dr. Bruce Martin, Clemson University, Dr. Jim Kerns, N.C. State University and BASF’s very own Dr. Kathie Kalmowitz put their respective PhD’s together to foretell what the future will hold for fungicide technology.

Surviving (Thriving!) During a Course Reno

How do superintendents keep their cool during the inevitable course renovation? Hear from John Zimmers, Inverness Club, Justin DePippo, Bel-Air Country Club, Mike McCormick, The Apawamis Club and Rich McIntosh, Torrey Pines Golf Courses discuss their experiences and how to survive – even thrive! – during a renovation.

Celebrating 10 Years of Plant Health

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the launch of the plant health powerhouse brand and Dr. Bruce Martin, Clemson University, Eric Richardson, Essex County Club, Jeff Corcoran, Oak Hill Country Club and BASF’s Dr. Kathie Kalmowitz discuss great moments in plant health over the past decade.

Dollar spot, anthracnose, spring dead spot…none of those diseases are a traditional four-letter word but they might as well be for how difficult they are to control. BASF’s Jen Browning joins Dr. Jim Baird from UC Riverside and Josh Lewis from Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club to discuss latest trends and research.
