1. BROAD SPECTRUM. Tower® herbicide delivers selective preemergent control of annual grasses, sedges and small-seeded broadleaf weeds in golf course turf, lawns and ornamentals.
2. HANDLES TROUBLESOME WEEDS. Tower herbicide controls key weeds such as Goosegrass, doveweed, spurges and Poa annua.
3. HEALTHIER TURF. Featuring the active ingredient Dimethenmanid-P, Tower herbicide inhibits shoot growth to control weeds as they germinate without root pruning effects on desirable turf. Tower herbicide is an attractive solution where oxadiazon usage is restricted.
4. WARM-SEASON FLEXIBILITY. The warm-season rate is 21 to 32 fl oz per acre on Bermudagrass, zoysiagrass, seashore paspalum, centipedegrass, kikuyugrass, bahigrass, buffalograss and St. Augustinegrass.
5. COOL-SEASON APPLICATIONS. The cool-season rate is 21 fl oz per acre on bentgrass, Kentucky bluegrass, fine fescue, perennial ryegrass and tall fescue.
6. MIX IT UP. The non-staining, liquid formulation readily mixes with other pre- and post-emergent herbicides to expand the broad spectrum of control.
7. VERSATILE SOLUTION. Spring, summer and fall, when soil temperatures exceed 55 degrees, are ideal times to apply on warm-season turf. Tower herbicide, for example, can be applied in early summer to provide pre-emergent goosegrass control, late summer for doveweed control and then in the fall as part of a Poa annua management program.
8. POWERFUL AGAINST POA ANNUA. Tower herbicide offers residual control and early post-emergent activity on Poa annua. BASF has constructed a pre and post Poa defense program for fairways, tees and roughs featuring Tower herbicide in a liquid tank mix combination with a residual preemergent herbicide and a post-emergent herbicide.
9. EFFICIENT APPLICATION PRACTICES. Reliable activation occurs with just a quarter inch of irrigation or rain following application. Tower herbicide can also be impregnated or coated onto dry bulk granular fertilizers.
10. NOT JUST FOR PLAYING SURFACES. Over-the-top tolerance on more than 100 ornamental plant species means Tower herbicide fits into a weed control program in landscape beds throughout the golf course and club grounds.
